IT-architecture, IT-arkitektur, leadershipWebinar: Architecture for Leaders

How Leaders and Architects Align

This talk will describe the role of the architect in 2025 and how managers and other leaders should relate to this role.

Date: 23 september

Time: 08:30 - 09:30

Place: Online

IT Architecture is a tricky subject. There are so many definitions of architecture held by practitioners that it sometimes seems impossible to grasp what your architects should actually be doing, how they're going to do it, and what you should expect from them when it's done.

How do you know if architecture is working well? How do you know if problems are appearing because of poor architecture, compadres to problems with project managed or software development? What are the architects responsible for? Why do they all have different titles? Which architects should solve which problems? Why are they so weird?

Based on years of teaching architects, rescuing crashing projects, research, and executive coaching this talk will outline what managers should expect and how they should manage their relationship to architects and architecture.

  • What you’ll gain from the webinar
  • What leaders should — and shouldn’t — expect from architects
  • How to assess whether architecture is actually delivering value
  • How to build an effective working relationship between leaders and architects
  • Why architectural roles can seem unclear — and how to navigate that complexity
